Hello Eagles,
I hope you have all been settling into a good routine for the school year, morning drop off is starting to flow a little better, and your little ones love their new teachers! We are preparing to settle into a weekly routine.
School Lunch
If you provide your own lunches, please remember that the school is peanut free, and some classrooms also observe additional food restrictions. If you have questions, reach out to Darcy or our teacher for more information.
If you are like me, you struggle to make breakfast AND lunch every morning. Hopefully you all turned in your Pizza and Subway order forms to take care of Wednesday and Friday, but we still have 3 more days in the week to worry about lunch.
This is where Ordo steps in. As a general rule, the Ordo menu will consist of a few unique items for each day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), and they will also offer a a few items that can be ordered any day of the week. There are also Extras at the bottom of the page that can be ordered any day (typically snack or drink items).
Ordo orders for the following week are due each Friday night before midnight! So the clock is ticking if you want to get your orders in. Signing up is fairly painless. Create 1 parent account, add your children, and select both the school and classroom for each child.
Visit ordoschools.app today if you want to try ordo for lunch. It works for my girls!
Friday Folders
You should expect to have a green folder come home with you little one every Friday. This will include forms your teacher needs you to return to the classroom like permission slips for field trips (monthly), enrichment enrollment forms (December), picture day order forms (October), or other things the teacher may need from you. It will also include fliers from the school and OPT and completed school work. Please check for this folder every week.
You should also expect a weekly Smore newsletter from your teacher, and periodic Smore newsletters from specialists (Physical Education, Art, Music, Languages, and Library/Technology). If you do not see a newsletter in your email inbox this weekend, you should ask your teacher about it. Please keep in mind that not all teachers send them on Friday, but you should receive one weekly.
If you need anything from the OPT, please don't hesitate to reach out via email to evergreenopt@outlook.com
