As we round the bend into the last month of the year, we have the last few Fridays folders before Christmas break! We have all kinds of excitement coming in the next couple weeks with the winter musical Star Bucks, the Nutcracker ballet, and spirit week just to name a few! In your folders this week, you should have received your tickets for the all school musical, and any items you purchased in the second spirit wear sale! Also, as Darcy pointed out, you should expect to see tickets for the Nutcracker Ballet if you ordered those. This is the last week to register for the Holiday Gift Exchange, so if you wish to sign up, please see the flyer below. You can click on the image or scan the QR code to open the signup genius form.
We still have a few more items left on the Giving Tree; if you have a chance to go into the office and grab a tag off of the tree, or you can sign up online. There are several items left on the online form ranging from Safeway gift cards to clothing and a video game. The Kenzie & Dot Foundation has partnered with Evergreen Academy to gather holiday wishes from local families. By signing up to provide a gift from the list, you can help demonstrate to your child the importance of giving!
Star Bucks! The Musical is all set for showtime on Wednesday! This sold-out all school performance demonstrates weeks of hard work put in by the entire school! Please remember to feed your children and get them ready to drop off at the dress rehearsal at 4:45PM. In case you missed Mrs Chou's email:
The dress code is festive in red and green, with a sprinkle of sequins, gold, sparkles, glitter, and all things holiday-themed! Students can wear a holiday sweater, button-up shirt, or school polo with dress/black pants. Students can also opt for dresses or skirts that fall just above or below the knee. Don't worry if the outfit isn't entirely red and green-the key is to have fun and celebrate the holiday season together!
Doors will open at 5:45PM.
There will be a professional Videographer recording the performance so you can focus on being present with your children while they are there, and if you would like to purchase that video, please fill out the attached order form:
The Nutcracker Tickets should be delivered on Monday! Normally those would have gone home by now, but due to a mix up they were not delivered to the school in time. If the tickets will be delayed further, you should expect to hear from the office.
Holliday Spirit Week is just around the corner! Now is the perfect time to gather some holiday related clothes for your children, and while you are at it, keep an eye out for these items:
Festive Stocks - Monday, December 11th
Festive Head Gear - Tuesday, December 12th
Ugly Sweater/Festive Sweater - Wednesday, December 13th
Candy Cane Day - Thursday, December 14th
Holiday PJ Day - Friday, December 15th (Half day, and the last day before break.)
This weekend, I will be putting together a gift shopping budget with my children in preparation for the Holiday Store! I love this activity because it teaches the life skill of managing money! It introduces budgeting and understanding the value of money; plus, I use the screw drivers I got last year all the time! Above all else, It helps inspire confidence and independence, and makes Christmas morning that more special!
I have a few more forms that you should fill out as soon as you can. The due date is December 11th, but I think we all know the after school enrichments can fill up quickly. I unfortunately don't have a digital copy of the order form itself for enrichments, but I have the rest of the catalog below.
