President: Kim Kertson
Kim came to Evergreen in the Fall of 2019. Before serving as the current president, she was the OPT Secretary. She and her husband, Brad, reside in Woodinville with their three children; Tucker (4th), Bentley (1st) and Nash (3 yo.) Kim is local to the area and her parents live just minutes from Evergreen in the house she grew up in. A graduate of Washington State University in 2003, Kim spent time in Event Planning and Website Marketing and Development before seeking her Master's in Early Childhood Education and finding her way into the classroom as a 5th grade teacher in public school. Her career as a teacher was short lived as she "retired" to start a family.
Kim is an avid reader, loves to travel to sunny places and is always up for an adventure. She is passionate about education and the important role that social and emotional development play in the success of our children. Joining the Evergreen Academy family has been a true blessing to her entire family and she looks forward to many years as an Eagle!

Vice President Family Engagement: Stephanie Weymouth
Mom to fifth graders, Jake and Jordan, Stephanie resides in Woodinville with their black lab, Dakota. When not working in Human Resources, this active and outdoor loving mom of two can be found dirt biking, racing hydroplanes and cheering on the Cougs and Seahawks with her family.
Stephanie and her family found Evergreen Academy in the Fall of 2020 after hearing amazing things from current families and seeking a in-person educational experience. As a former PTA Event Coordinator and active volunteer in her community, Stephanie quickly acquainted herself with the OPT and dove right into volunteering.
Stephanie looks forward to help making Evergreen Academy OPT events something everyone wants to take part in. While Maui holds a special place in her heart, this travel (and pasta!) loving mama dreams of taking her family to Italy where she spent an year of college studying.

Treasurer: Doug Mangini
Doug, father to 3rd grader Sabrina, is serving a third year as the OPT Treasurer. He is no stranger to managing finances as he has volunteered in the role as Treasurer for his HOA the past 10 years. When not volunteering his time, he enjoys the company of his family; wife Ren'ee, daughter Sabrina and Bear, their Newfoundland dog.
An adventurous spirit has led Doug to many locations, including the Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza, in Yucatan, Mexico. He hopes to continue his international adventures by exploring Africa and staying at the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya in addition to visiting Machu Picchu, Peru. While his adventures have taken him far from home, his love of outdoors is local as well. You can find Doug enjoying activities such as running, camping, hiking and boating - especially sail boating!
Doug's love of Evergreen and focus on creating a clean, simple, accounting system for the OPT is a true asset to the Evergreen Community.

Principal: Amy Morey
Our fearless leader is now in her 21st year in Education and has been at Evergreen Academy for 7 of those years - entering her second year as Principal. This sea-salt caramel, Virginia haling, Hokie fan, resides in Woodinville with her husband (Rex), two children (Payton - 4th & Cooper - K) and dog, Abbey. In her spare time she can be found reading, easting Mexican food, visiting the Olympic Peninsula, enjoying time with her kids and playing lawn games (cornhole anyone?!)
Not only has Amy been a teacher and principal at Evergreen Academy but she has led numerous initiatives and committees as she strives for excellence in Education. Her commitment to volunteerism is apparent in her work as the Blood Drive Chari in college, as a member of Alpha Phi Omega (service fraternity), participation in Service Projects with the Virginia Tech Alumni and an ever present volunteer in her children's classrooms.
While serving on the Board of Directors for the OPT, Amy hopes to make an impact through her support of current programs as well as the creation of new ones. She desires Evergreen Academy to be a warm landing place for families, where they know their child is receiving a wonderful foundation for the years ahead.

Mission
To build a strong sense of community among all Evergreen families by working together with Evergreen Academy’s teachers and staff to enrich our children’s education.
House
Evergreen Academy, originally named Montessori House was founded in 1977 by Krista McKee. The OPT House was the home of Krista and family until the home was sold to Evergreen Academy's parent company in 2018. The house is used by OPT to gather as a community, store materials and houses the Uniform Store.
