Today I want to mention a little dance we are doing in the morning and afternoon. The car line shuffle can get a little chaotic at times, but there are a few things we can remember to get through the line quickly and help keep our families safe.
As many of you have noticed by now, our parking lot is one-way. From time to time traffic can back up into the street, but this can be minimized if the 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade traffic merges right as soon as safely possible. This allows the cars for PreK, K, 3rd, and 4th to get around them, and prevent the line from backing up down the entrance driveway.
In the image above, you can see lines overlayed on top of satellite imagery. Please note that the lines cross right after the blue line unloads at the main building. Blinkers are a must at this cross-over point. Check your blind spots, and always look around after unloading your child.
Please remember to keep it slow in the parking lot. We have children exiting cars and every once and a while they don't follow directions. Especially near the end of the car line when passing by the preschool, there is merging traffic and young children that don't understand traffic laws yet. As always, be kind to others and drive defensively.
Finally, drop off and pick up times are staggered to try and manage traffic and coordinate with the neighboring preschool. Please adhere to the drop off and pick up times of your youngest child, and parents should always remain in the vehicle. If you drop off or pick up outside the scheduled time, then you will be interacting with more traffic from the preschool, and there may not be any staff outside to help your child; in this case, please park your car and enter through the office.

The staff will be waiting to help your child out of the car and direct them into the building during these times:
8:10 - 8:20: PreKindergarten, Kindergarten and 1st Grade
8:20 - 8:30: 2nd and 3rd Grades
8:30 - 8:40: 4th and 5th Grades
Designated Pick Up Time
The staff will be escort your child to the pick-up locations specified during these times:
3:10 - 3:20: PreKindergarten, Kindergarten and 1st Grade
3:20 - 3:30: 2nd and 3rd Grades
3:30 - 3:40: 4th and 5th Grades
